“Our lives no longer belong to us alone;
they belong to all those who need us desperately.”
-Elie Wiesel

SGC looks at global change differently;
from a strategic, expanded yet more interconnected way.

From this perspective, we can have a clearer understanding of the most impactful, effective next steps for long-lasting global change.

Global change is made up of so many different areas: health, education, the environment, technology, the peace movement, personal development movement, volunteerism and so much more.

We often compartmentalize these areas depending on our perspective or beliefs and in doing so miss the bigger picture.

For example, you might see a healthcare nonprofit focusing on individuals impacted by their specific disease - but completely ignoring any impact the organization may be having on the environment. Or a product whose proceeds go to one important cause - but the product itself has a negative impact on a different, equally important cause.

There is a powerful level of interconnection that we have only begun to tap into.

With cutting edge technology, we will have ways of seeing impact that we were never able to see before and this can guide philanthropic giving and direct resources in brand new ways.

 It’s also important to expand the range of what we think of as global transformation.

We tend to focus on the organizational level, but we need to give equal importance to the whole range: individuals, communities, countries, regions, globally and beyond. It’s an individual who signs the treaty we want enacted. It’s an individual that makes a stand that creates a regional or global movement. And individuals are getting involved and having impact in ways we couldn’t even imagine just a generation or two ago.

Conversely, just as a person has a destiny or fate, that same structure seems to exist for humanity and the planet as well. We’ve got to look at the topic of global transformation within the context of this broader perspective with a long-term approach, thinking multiple generations ahead.

SGC will be doing a deep dive into the broader range of areas and movements impacting the planet. Then, using a blend of visionary insights, international expertise and advances in technology that allow us to project, track and analyze data, SCG will create a framework to guide giving in brand new, world-changing ways.

SGC is looking to partner with high-level changemakers to move this visionary project forward.
